Craig Leland Sparks, Program Director of the School of Music, is a talented composer, vocalist, pianist, and conductor. He is the Director of Music at Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church and Artistic Director of the Bowie Senior Chorale. He composes choral music and is currently working on an original musical. His music weaves elements from a variety of cultures and genres of music, illustrating both the unity and diversity in the world that inspires him.

Mr. Sparks holds a B.M. from Towson University and an M.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, both in composition. He privately studied voice for 8 years and piano for 15 years.

Composer, lyricist, vocalist, guitarist, pianist, bassist - in music, Doug Mattingly leaves nothing uncovered in his quest to discover the sounds and words that touch his listeners. Mr. Mattingly spent time as an LA sideman playing clubs, recording for other artists and touring the United States. He received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in guitar performance at the
prestigious University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.
Mr. Mattingly is a singer/songwriter/performer and college instructor of guitar, songwriting, jazz and classical music history. Ark & Dove is pleased to offer lessons in guitar and musicology with Mr. Mattingly.
