The Community of Ark & Dove

Our congregation participates in a variety of small groups and education classes to explore our spirituality and learn more about the Christian life.

LOGOS is a Tuesday afternoon program for youth in fifth through 12th grades. Participants grow personally through Bible study and education, work on worship skills with drama, singing and reading and share a family dinner time each week.

Small groups provide supportive surroundings to explore faith and spirituality. Past and present small groups include:

-special studies on spirituality, theology and the bible
-bible study classes
-book discussions
-themed programs such as the Lenten Soup and Spirit
-Club 234 for children in grades 2-4
-Fireside Fellowship camping group
-Women’s Nights Out and Men’s Breakfasts

Ark and Dove is a mission-minded church, striving to live God’s word, show Christ’s love and work for God’s justice. We support mission organizations through volunteer support and through our financial contributions.

Ark and Dove is a covenant church with Arundel Habitat for Humanity, which has built more than 50 homes in the area. Each year, Ark and Dove sponsors the building of a house and feeds volunteers who dedicate hundreds of hours to help a family put down its roots and own its own home.

Ark and Dove sponsors a dinner each month and donates food and clothing to Sarah’s House, a homeless shelter for women and children in Fort Meade.

Ark and Dove members are regular contributors to the Odenton Food Pantry, which keeps families in the Odenton area from going hungry.
As part of the Presbytery of Baltimore of the Presbyterian Church USA, Ark and Dove sends volunteers and financial support to ongoing mission programs throughout the world.

Music is an integral part of Ark and Dove’s worship and outreach. Rehearsals for both the traditional choir and the band are each week, and anyone with an interest in music is welcome to join. The youth choirs meet weekly to prepare for special worship presentations and concerts. Each Christmas, the children of Ark and Dove present a Christmas pageant.

Ark and Dove is reaching out to the surrounding community with its Ark and Dove School of Music, a non-profit venture that will provide youth from surrounding neighborhoods the opportunity to study music and instruments.
